The University of Medical Technology, Yangon (Burmese: ဆေးဘက်ဆိုင်ရာ နည်းပညာ တက္ကသိုလ် (ရန်ကုန်) is one of two universities of medical technology in Myanmar.
The university offers four-year Bachelor of Medical Technology (B.Med.Tech)
and two-year Master of Medical Technology (M.Med.Tech) degree programs in medical laboratory technology, physiotherapy and radiography and medical imaging technology.[1] The university accepts approximately undergraduate 150 students annually.[2]
The University of Medical Technology, Yangon is one of the two
Medical Technology Universities in Myanmar. This situated at Lower
Mingaladon Road in Insein
Township. There are three major subjects: Medical Imaging Technology,
Medical Laboratory Technology and Physiotherapy. These are also the
three main departments of the university.
In Medical Imaging Technology Department, we can learn the imaging techniques using X-rays, ultrasound and magnet.
In Medical Laboratory Technology Department, we can learn how to
specify the blood group or the types of pathology and many others.
In Physiotherapy Department, we can learn how to care and how to
train the exercises to patients who are unable to move or perfectly
recovery from the stroke.
After studying four years in this university, you are qualified to accept the Bachelor of Medical Technology. You can also attend the Master Degree of Medical Technology in this university too.
This university accepts approximately undergraduate 200 students annually.
The University of Medical Technology, Mandalay (Burmese: ဆေးဘက်ဆိုင်ရာ နည်းပညာ တက္ကသိုလ် (မန္တလေး) is one of two universities of medical technology in Myanmar. Located on a 17.63-acre (71,300 m2) campus in Patheingyi, Mandalay, the university offers four-year Bachelor of Medical Technology (B.Med.Tech) degree programs in medical laboratory technology, physiotherapy and radiography and medical imaging technology.[1][2] The university accepts approximately 150 students annually.[3]
Master's degree program (M.Med.Tech) studies are available only at the University of Medical Technology, Yangon.[2]
